How to Activate the Offer
First step: you have to activate the offer before you pay, or your spending won’t qualify.

Open the TD app, tap Rewards > See Offers > Get Started.
If you don’t see this screen, update your app and try again.

Agree to terms.

Then pick 5 shopping categories you like—fashion, cars, gadgets, pets, sports, entertainment, dining, travel, and so on.
Not sure if it matters, but I picked dining and then spotted the CAD 10 back when I spent CAD 75+ at restaurants offer. You could try picking dining too.

Once you choose your 5, you'll see all available offers for you. For example, the restaurant CAD 75+ get CAD 10 back deal.
Tap Accept Offer > Select the card > Activate this offer

Check terms carefully—this restaurant deal runs from 2025/11/10 to 2025/12/31 and you must activate before spending. Minimum spend is CAD 75 in one go. Hit exactly CAD 75, get CAD 10 back = 13.33% off your bill!

There are other deals too, some okay, but for online shopping, Rakuten usually gives better cashback rates. Plus, during big sales like Black Friday, Rakuten bumps cashback up to 20% sometimes.
TD’s online shopping bonus tracks cookie referrals, so you gotta enter stores via TD’s links—which means you can’t double-dip with Rakuten.
If you don’t have a Rakuten account yet, you can sign up with this referral link for CAD 40 cashback for both you and the person who referred you: Referral Link
Shopping through Rakuten means extra cashback. For example, today (11/11), LEVIS offers 11% cashback on Rakuten vs only 4% from TD.

GAP: Rakuten 11% vs TD 2% cashback.

Decathlon: Rakuten 11% vs TD 4% cashback.

But for Bose today, TD’s card beats Rakuten by 1% cashback.
Of course, if you can wait, Black Friday and Cyber Monday might bring better deals—lower prices plus even more cashback.
